Personalization Guide

At Jersey Lunatic, you can personalise your shirt to make it truly yours. Add a name and number on the back, select competition patches, and wear your unique piece.

What You Can Personalise

  • Name and Number on the Back: Print your name above the number on the shirt back. Standard format is name above, number below.
  • Competition Patches: Add sleeve patches representing major football competitions.

Name and Number — Technical Details

Character Limits:

  • Name: up to 12 characters (including spaces)
  • Number: 1 or 2 digits (1–99)

Special Characters and Accents:

We print exactly what you submit. If you enter "JOSÉ" with an accent, the print will show "JOSÉ". If your chosen name includes umlauts, tildes, or other diacritics, verify your device is set to the correct keyboard layout before submitting. Accents are preserved; however, some names may look different depending on the font used in print.

What You Type Is What You Get:

Capitalization, spacing, and spelling are your responsibility. We do not correct or modify your text. Double-check before confirming your order. Once printed, the shirt cannot be returned or exchanged due to personalization errors.

Competition Patches

Select from the following sleeve patches (typically applied at no extra cost):

  • UEFA Champions League – For European club competitions
  • Premier League – English top division
  • La Liga – Spanish top division
  • FIFA World Cup – International tournament
  • UEFA Nations League – International competition
  • FIFA Club World Cup – Global club championship

Patches are printed as part of the personalization. If you do not select a patch, your shirt will ship with the standard club crest only.

Before You Confirm Your Order — Preview and Confirmation Process

How Preview Works:

  1. At checkout, before you pay, you will see a preview image showing exactly how your name, number, and patches will appear on the shirt.
  2. The preview displays your personalization in the same font, size, and positioning used on our production shirts.
  3. You must carefully review this preview and verify that spelling, capitalization, number format, and patch selection are all correct.

Confirming Your Personalization:

  1. If the preview looks correct, you must click "Confirm Personalization" to proceed to payment. This is a mandatory step — we require your explicit written consent before entering production.
  2. After you complete payment, we send you a confirmation email with your preview image, order number, and all personalization details for your records.
  3. Save this email — it proves what you ordered if any questions arise later.

Cancellation Window:

You have [CANCELLATION WINDOW] hours after payment to request a change or cancellation if you notice an error in the preview. To request a change, contact [SUPPORT EMAIL] immediately with your order number and explain the error.

After [CANCELLATION WINDOW] hours, your order enters production and no changes are possible. At this point, your shirt is being personalised according to your confirmed specifications and cannot be altered.

No Preview Corrections After Production Starts:

Once production begins, we do not halt the print or remake the shirt because you changed your mind about the name, number, or patches. Personalised shirts are final sale.

Production and Delivery Time

⚠️ Important — No Returns or Exchanges for Personalised Shirts

Personalised shirts are final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded.

Because your shirt is made specifically for you according to your exact specifications (name, number, patches), it falls outside the standard 14-day right of withdrawal under EU consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16c). By clicking "Confirm Personalization" and placing your order, you acknowledge and accept that:

  • You are responsible for verifying all details (spelling, name, number, patches, capitalization) before confirming at checkout.
  • We will print your submission exactly as you provide it, without modification.
  • Once printed and shipped, the personalised shirt cannot be returned, refunded, or exchanged.
  • No refund is available for personal preference, fit, colour tone differences, or personalization regrets.
  • After [CANCELLATION WINDOW] hours from payment, changes to your order are no longer possible.

Manufacturing Defects vs. Personalization Errors

We stand behind our work. If your shirt arrives with a manufacturing defect (poor print quality, misaligned text, ink bleeding, structural damage to the shirt itself) that is not caused by your personalization choices, contact our support team at [SUPPORT EMAIL] within 14 days with clear photos of the defect.

Manufacturing defects may be subject to warranty replacement or repair at our discretion. We will assess the damage and work with you on a resolution.

Personalization errors caused by your input (misspelled name, wrong number, incorrect patches) are not defects and are not eligible for replacement. This is why the preview step is so important.

Tips for Choosing Your Number and Name

Number Selection:

  • Use your favourite player's number, your birth year (if two digits), or a number meaningful to you.
  • Common football positions have traditional numbers (GK: 1, DEF: 2–6, MID: 7–10, FWD: 9–11), but any number 1–99 is valid.
  • If you're unsure, check the official squad numbers of your chosen team.

Name Selection:

  • Use your full name or surname only — both are common.
  • Keep it shorter if you want larger print on the back.
  • Avoid extremely long names; they may appear cramped.
  • Remember: your name will be in the same font and size as professional player shirts.
  • Verify unusual spelling or accents work on your keyboard before entering them.

Patch Selection:

  • Choose only the competition patches relevant to your shirt and team.
  • If unsure whether a team won a particular trophy or competed in a league, research before confirming.
  • Incorrect patches cannot be removed or changed after production begins.
